This photo of restored boat houses on Old North Wharf was made on a still summer evening at dusk. Old North Wharf is now a residential wharf on Nantucket Harbor; situated between Steamboat Wharf, where the ferry comes in, and Straight Wharf.
This scene is part of the famous view that almost every Nantucket visitor sees while departing the ferry, walking or driving around town, or heading back to the ferry.
At the right edge of the photo is the historic Old Fisherman's Shanty.
