Just partway down the South Kaibab Trail on Grand Canyon's South Rim, there was a typical crush of hikers. Not bad, but then again it was early May. Perfect weather and conditions. Chilly in the early morning shade, but it wouldn't last long.
The South Kaibab Trail is an excellent route to the bottom of the Canyon. To the Colorado River. Wide and well maintained, it is a spectacular trail down off the South Rim.
