News About Steve Krieg and His Photography

Freelance photographer Stephen J. Krieg relocated to northern Arizona's wondrous Coconino Plateau in 2008 after an eighteen year hiatus from the Western U.S. He currenty lives near Williams, Arizona ("Gateway to Grand Canyon"), a small tourist town that, fittingly enough, was named after a legendary mountain man, "Old Bill" Williams, who may not even have seen the town named after him. Nobody is sure because Old Bill was, as usual, off wandering the Rocky Mountains alone for months or years on end.

As a former forester, and a veteran of many wilderness backpacking trips in the West, it's quite fitting that Steve has chosen northern Arizona and the Flagstaff-Williams area to reside. Surrounded by Kaibab National Forest land, and adjacent to the Coconino National Forest, he revels in being able to roam freely in the vast ponderosa pine forests and canyon lands of the Plateau.

Working from his home studio, Steve continually works with his photographs and video footage to create new works that reflect his ever growing skills and vision.
