Steve's View
"End of October, the sleepy brown woods seem to nod down their heads to the winter". Thus begins Dan Fogelberg's song "Old Tennessee" from his Captured Angel album way back in 1975. That song always seems to pop into my head during autumn, especially late autumn.
"Woke up one morning, the wind through the window reminded me winter was just 'round the bend. Somehow I just did not see it was coming, it took me by surprise again."
Well, up here on the Coconino Plateau in northern Arizona I have tons of firewood split and stacked alongside the house, so winter will not take me by surprise. In fact, I'm looking forward to it, along with all the spectacular photos it will bring once again. Especially here in Canyon Country with its varied elevations, life zones, and environments.

I have been adding a lot of new photos to the website, most of them from the past year and even the past few weeks. It seems like I'm never caught up in that regard, but I keep trying, because there is so much to share.
