Base of Broken Rock Falls, Hocking Hills State Park, Ohio

- a Fine Art Print

This photo of the lower portion of Broken Rock Falls was made at Hocking Hills State Park in southeast Ohio.

Broken Rock Falls is so named because of the fractured face of the cliff where a small stream empties from the forest above. The varied rock strata have been broken and weathered so that the waterfall is thrown back and forth on its way to the bottom of the gorge, to join the main creek below Old Man's Cave.

Photo location: Old Man's Cave unit of Hocking Hills State Park, Hocking County, Ohio.
