"Grand Canyon Reflections I" is a photo-video essay portraying a weeklong whitewater rafting trip on the Colorado River through Grand Canyon National Park in northern Arizona.
Utilizing my first love--still photography--along with video editing techniques such as high resolution panoramic scenes and the Ken Burns effect, I am able to present my admiration for Grand Canyon as seen from the river, instead of from the Rims.
In this video, we cover the entire 280 river miles of Grand Canyon, from Lees Ferry, through Marble Canyon and the confluence with the Little Colorado River, down into the Granite Gorge, Phantom Ranch, Blacktail Canyon, Deer Creek Falls, Havasu Canyon, and more.
